Well, sometimes the "simple" things are the biggest PITA. I absolutely hate doing stuff like mounting shocks. I just agonize on how to prcede at times. This was one of those times.  I got the rear shock/bypass mount roughed in though. I'm pretty happy with it. Of course there are some support tubes still needing cut/notched/installed along with a few gussets but ,at least, the precision positioning is behind me now. All 4 corners,at full bump, have the shocks and bypasses bottom out at the same time. Droop travel will be adjusted with internal shock spacers since the bypasses are placed to already be correct @ full droop. Only shock travel needs final adjusting with the internal spacer.

Pic #3 shows a very favorable cv angle IMO.Car will only sit 2" higher @ ride height,15 inches reaar and 18 front. IF I did my calcs right rear travel will be 20" and 24" front. Cv life should be very good.

It's a nice hobby. I'm not the greatest by any means but it'll do.

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. To be honest this car is ,by far,the most accurately built car I have ever done.+- 1/16" everywhere.  I'm finally pretty pleased with the craftsmanship. But,as always,I'm still not truly happy.

Well,I just spent the last 2 days doing rework .All because of  1/16".  thumb down  The  front shocks/bypasses ,at full droop, would have the spring hitting the bypass. DAMN. I wasn't really happy with the lower mounts, was going to be a bitch to plate, but was going to leave them alone until the clearance issue  eyes. Sometimes, something little like a 1/16" makes you do what you didn't want to. In the long run I am much happier now and have proper clearance.  ;D  Kharma, yep, must be kharma.  8) 8)  I have some more plate work to do yet and will post some pics ,hopefully tomorrow of the results.

I know reworking something sucks, but at least now you know it's right.

I have worked on a few cars that had short limit straps on them due to clearance issues. thumb down

Ya,no time like the present to correct anything. Easier,by far,to do so now.

Rework done on passenger side. Should have drivers done tomorrow. Few pics.First 2 are @ full droop. Third is full bump and 4th shows 5" ground clearance @ full bump. 5th shows rear 24 degree cv angle at full droop.
