 +1 on that!
What is the ac out of? Or is it a built unit from like Vintage Air?

Thanks, deano. Enemy,it's a VintageAir magnum unit, their biggest. Nice setup and I was able to make a mandrel that fits inside of the VA accessory drive to drive the dry sump/torque converter pump all nice and tidy. It did necessitate a small compromise in the chassis due to needing just an inch and a half more clearance with the dry sump stuff. Oh well,do you see where? It's a tight fit removing engine.

I was wondering if that one cross tube, chest high in back, was removeable.  The car looks great and I believe you said it was sizewise on scale with the busa one?  Love that mid engine look, way more than the ass dragger style.

No,it's not removable. Don't really like to use removable tubes if at all possible not to. No offense to the tail dragger cars but I agree with you Carl.Approximately 20" longer wheelbase than the busa car. The 20" extra is in the engine bay area.

OH HAPPY DAY! I just got shipping confirmation on the Brodix intake manifold for the canted valve small block Chevy I'm using. Just in time too! Taking off the sheetmetal 2 carb tunnel ram intake and in the name of simplicity decided to use the Brodix intake developed by Brodix for these heads in sprint car use several years ago. Even though the LS stuff has taken over pretty much on the tracks these heads/engines make as much as or more good HP. I was beginning to believe I might be having to weld one up though as I've been waiting for about 3 months now. Brodix is the only maker of cast intakes for these heads. I've got a bit more done but ,as usual ,been a bit lax in pic taking. If all goes well it will be sitting on all fours by end of next week or first of the following also since the coilovers will be here Tuesday. I would really ,really like to make it's first long trip be to St.A this fall.

Looks great!  Love the mid engine look in the rear with your tube layout.  With the Brodix manifold for single carb are you going to use some type of fuel injection?

A/C...  ;D

Thanks, engineer. For now it will be true carb. E85 for summer, race gas in cold weather. Gotta keep the heater working as well as the AC!!!! I am beginning to really like the look myself. I think when I get pics up with the shocks mounted the look will really come together AND be geometrically "correct" also.

Has anyone here heard of the "poor mans fuel injection" ? Seems to work pretty well for those running carbs in the rough/steep stuff.

Thanks. I target 3000 pounds +/- .  I'd be happy with 3000-3200#'s.
tubing                             800#
hubs f&r                          200#
wheels/tires(heavy mofos) 500#
transaxle                         200#
engine                             600#
seats                              120#
shocks/bypasses/coils      250#
fuel tanks/dry sump stuff  150#
That's over 2800ish # right there with a wild ass guesses at weights

IDK about poor mans fuel injection but there is a carb float trick that the guys with Big Blocks use that will solve your concerns.

Is it the one where the float bowl plug screws are replaced with hose barbs, connected to a small sump and pump to return overfill from side hills or steeps to the tank preventing flooding? The one recently mentioned @ GD?
