Everyone has their own likes/dislikes but my mig gets used for tacking only. On 4130,cages,anything precision-TIG baby!!!   ;D ;D ;DI agree that if I was doing production stuff and/or general welding mig would get the nod tho.

Well, the car hasn't been out of the shop and it's on it's lid already. ;) Took some pics today of the chassis upside down on the rotisserie. ;D ;D  Forgot the cam at shop. Dumbass! That thing is worth its weight in gold. Makes welding everything a LOT easier.

the tig is much more precise and cleaner not to meantion a lot of other things but mig is just faster and easier especially when i don't have a lot of experience with the tig. it is fun to use especially when i was building my exhaust

Keep the water out and it's a non issue. . All the talk of corrosion is BS. IF it were methanol, that would be different story.

Plus keeping tank full.  Guessing a T to one outlet at top.  Pumps look tiny, but I'mguess the whole setup is just larger than it looks.
You can keep your CHANGE, I'd like to keep my DOLLAR.

If only that were true....... Trust Me, even the "oxygenated" crap we had in Komifornia would corrode aluminum. If you have a vent on your tank you are going to get moisture in it. Letting My old glass car sit for a week or 2 was like parking it at the bottom of the ocean. Everything aluminum in the system would start to turn chalky white. Cast was the worst, anodized better but still not immune. SS tank never even noticed.
If you drove it everyday, would not be an issue. Letting them set for months on end is.

I don't let fuel sit for months or even weeks on end open to atmosphere.

The pumps are tiny. Big capacity though. Most pumps are BIG to impress people. 450lph @ no pressure and something like 400lph @ 30psi. The specs are on walbros site. Pumps are 100% e85 compatible unlike most . As I said, keep the water out and it is a non issue. Yes,I know there is SOME water in almost all e85.We have lots of guys running it around here with zero corrosion issues.

the reason i asked is because of how fast e85 attracts moisture and the amount of time it sits w/o use. i know you plan on having a bladder made for the tank but still have to vent it. there are additives the sell for ethanol fuels to cut down on the effects but still. i am going to go e85 but because mine sits a lot in between it will get the additive and i'll drain the tank. i actually considered a dual switch for e85 and pump fuel. the pimp system does allow for it so i could drain the e85 and run 87 octane non eth through while it sat for a while. lot of work i know but if it keeps parts from needing replaced then it's worth it.

You guys worry way too much. Cap the vent in storage. Test your fuel for % water content before buying. You WILL do that won't you?
