OK,got sidetracked on the valve covers when I spied a set of mockup headers hanging on the wall that I'd weleded up about 20 years ago. Been there so long I just overlooked them,I guess. Brand new,never used. Soooo,just to get a feel for how to run the headers before I began building them I pulled one off the wall ,turned it upside down and welllllll,the damn things will fit perfectly!!! All I need to do is cut off the flange and weld on a new one upside down. WOW!!!!   All along I have been planning to build a set from SS but WTF,I'm going to use these and jet hot coat the headers and pipes.

in the windshield opening you have a tube welded across about 6" down from the roof. what are you planning with that?  I like the rear a-arms and carriers too! do you have a front end shot?

Windshield is in the plan. The tube that you ask about is where the 2 LED lights recess into above the windshield. Same as current car pretty much but with a roof also.

If it wasn't for the off-road swap meet, I would be in much worse shape. Selling there and not buying (much) over the last few years has really thinned out the garage.

The 2 trans fluid coolers and 2 new dry sump tanks should be here by mid week. Radiator/fan assembly (the white foam in the pics is where it resides) will still be a few weeks . :'( Gonna try to start fab on fuel cell can so I can get it shipped off to FuelSafe for bladder next week.  ;) 8) Ordering Halon1311 fire suppression tonight and 2 AR-AFFF extinguishers also tonight. 8) 8)  After that ,THEN it will be wire and plumb. Lots yet to do.  thumb down  rofl

Man I wish I had half the skills you guys have here.  I see original work like this and realize I'm just a hack.  That is what I like about this place is the willingness of all to help each other out with answers to questions.
