I think i will.
If a person likes the less than high gloss, matte finish it is supposed to be pretty durable. I read quite a few things about it. Personally,I thought at first I would try it. Thought about it again and decided i wouldn't like the low gloss  kinda rubbery look that good pics seemed to show.

I think they have a gloss coat that could be put over top.

We got a family here in Wichita that went into that.  Son dose all the work and dad and mom supply the money.  They did a story on the news about it and one of the things they pointed out was you could peal it off in time to change colors.  So to answer DW's question It don't ever really stick permanently to the finish.  So I'm going to say that wind and what ever will make it peal here and there.
Wind won't likely peel it. Sand on an exposed edge will tho. You must wax car first soooo, noooooo,it doesn't adhere permanently. You wouldn't want it to be permanent either since there's no such thing as a good spot touchup . It will show.

What I read was that it wasn't high gloss tho like paint. It just depends on what a persons expectations are .

I think I am going to try this on my flat bed trailers rims. They need some TLC and are a perfect test. If that goes well I will likely do the front bumper on my truck. The bumper needs TLC ass well. I will post pictures when I get it done. One of the guys at work used it on his vet wheels. Turned out pretty good. Big factor is the person putting it on.

OK, I decided to try this and dip my wheels.  Practice on the spare off road.  If I dont like it, what the heck, I can peel it off.

Spare was cleaned, used fender washers for holes to avoid impact wrench damage.  Three coats of white underlay.  Here is first coat of orange - glossy and wet.  Figure it will take a full can, or about four coats.  Try to vision car with orange off road wheels.  Like I say, if I don't like it I will peel it off.

Will update in a bit and let you know how it goes.

FURY!

The white base went on smooth.  Just about as smooth as any spray can paint I have ever seen.  The "Blaze Orange?"  Fury.

Don't know if it was the heat, or what, but it looks bad.  So, by that time I had finished the spare and one wheel.  The spare had slight fur, but figured I would get better, not worse.  Taped the tire for the second wheel.  Tape is cheap.  Just tape it if you are going to do it.

Put it on the car to see if I would even like orange wheels.

I don't!

My experience is ehhh....

Does it peel off?  White does.  Orange does not.  My guess is there is a marked difference between the mixes of paint.

May try black just to change it up a bit.  But, orange is out.  Will not try "blaze" colors again.

Good way to try an idea out - and may work for you, and I may try black.......  but no on the orange

Buy a bunch on index card and just start sticking them in the area around the bead and rim. They flex and are cheap.  I forgot to say over lap the cards, but I figured that was a given.

Suck about the orange. Full sun could have dried it to fast? Also saw a video that talked about a clogged spray nozzle causing that strange pattern.

Have you guys read much commentary on it? I'm glad you are playing guinea pigs for me. I wasn't impressed enough to want try it BUT the feedback on the 3M stuff isn't so good either. Still,I'm going to try the 3M stuff. Hope the dip works out for you.
