You seem pretty intent on pissing people off aren't you Wyatt :o that guy I'm pretty sure is on here from time to time. kick
I had no intentions of pissing anyone off. I was wondering if it was good or not to drive your buggy with no nitrogen in the shocks? Honestly couldn't wait till he filled his shocks?

I personally see no harm in asking questions or even pointing out bad practices whether that person is a member here or not. Bad is bad.

IMO He's an idiot because he didn't have the self control to wait until his shocks were properly filled with nitrogen. nono nono nono He spent all that time and money on that car, just to go out and take a chance on possibly FUBAR those shocks and/or car, all over $20 of nitrogen. thumb down thumb down thumb down

Help. Bought some high lifter springs for my 4x4 atv. Need to find away to get the spring off the shock, without buying a spring compressor. Found a video of where superatv.com used 3 or 4 tiedown straps. well the video can explain it better than I can. This can not be safe.

those dinky springs wouldn't cause much damage if they got away.

I've done automotive springs on the car and using the car as a spring compressor.  Takes some thinking and doing things in the right order, but it was cheap.  I've also used a wall mounted spring compressor.  Those are sweet.

I bought a POS harbor freight pedestal mount strut spring compressor. Amazingly ,it works well.

Obviously this guy isn't the brightest mechanic.  Did you also happen to notice on the spring preload settings on the shock, he has it on the 4th tightest setting?  Try turning the preload down to the lowest setting.  (btw, I hate those 5-way preload pogo sticks!)
