Yet another Washingtonian (SW)
« on: March 27, 2012, 05:29:54 PM »
Howdy all been lurking here awhile, finally decided to post. Been duning about a dozen years now. Mostly with my current car. Did the VW thing for a couple years but the call of a V8 was too much. I have been running this car almost 10 yrs. now. Oregon dunes and St. Anthony at least once or twice a year. I liked St. Anthony so much I bought a cabin there a few years ago. Since the oop's pic I have installed front brakes and electric power steering , BIG difference. Nothing beats running with a big group in Idaho. A bunch of us will be there mid July this year.

Welcome aboard.  Nice looking car.

Looks like a Tech3?  Like the axles?

Yep, Tech-3, Good eye! The axles are heavy but QUIET and they take the angles well. They have held up fine for several years now.

Tec 3 for sure.  lIke the frame.  They seem to take the v8's real well.

If I believe I cannot do something it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe that I can, then I acquire the ability to do it , even if I didn't have it at the beginning.

Welcome!. We'll be in St A's late June. WIsh we'd have known sooner.
"There can be no divided allegiance here.  Any man who says he is an American,
but something else also, isn't an American at all.  We have room for but one
flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is
the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a
loyalty to the American people."
Theodore Roosevelt 1907

Of course there is always somebody right there with a camera eyes. Just got too loud and ran out of talent and real estate to stop before the drop off, hence the front brakes. Pretty cheap fix, a spindle and a couple tie rods(needed to upgrade anyway)and now front brakes!

Thanks, the scoop was a swap meet find to hide that big ugly plastic truck intake manifold. (I am not a chevy guy but the LS was the best bang for the buck, and besides that you will be able to buy small block parts at Safeway soon ;D)
