I had to throw my hacksaw out after it attacked my thumb.  Grinder works, just takes time.  Be patient.

Old style hand techniques... like grand dad used ta do...
Drop saw and belt linisher.... and have done quite a few as well.... old age and treachery will always triumph over youth and skill....

Each one takes about 4 mins to do... dont always need to spend mega bux altho the linisher wasnt cheap tho.

HOW? LOL!!! A hacksaw needs TWO HANDS on it to use properly. No wonder it got your thumb. Seriously TWO HANDS on the hacksaw at all times.

I was splitting the end of a piece of emt.  In my defense, I was only 10 yrs old and the emt was in a vise.  It's hard to see, but my thumb still doesn't work right.

LOL!! I got a scar on my shin from taking a tree saw after it when I was about 4 . I remember plain as day getting my ass whipped for getting out the 1/4 inch electric drill at about the age of 3 and drilling holes into the kitchen table also!
