GD.com Is Having a FREAKING Meltdown.

Unfortunately,Carl,the admins/mods there do not miss anyone. So far as they are concerned if you don't like something you are to STFU or GTFO. DId you happen to read the mods responses ? Stugots especially said it flat out. Shittty attitudes by them brings crappy actions by members. FWIW,I have complained,in pm's to mods/admins for at least 2 years about how unfriendly the place was. Standard response was/is "we know what we are doing. You are free to leave if you don't like it. " Well,they got their wish. GD was not like many small sites . They felt they were immune from everything. They were wrong.

I know Legit there had his business threatened, fake reviews, etc.  He stopped discussing his views as a result and pulled his business sponsorship. 

Given the number of folks there that place fake ads, hate mail, etc. wonder how long before that number finds its way to a M4M ad on Backpage or CL?

I didn't think of that. Bet he didn't either.    I wonder how much income has been lost there due to the management attitude in the last 2 years.  IMO,it's a given that forums are going to be smaller or not at all due to many many factors though.

well that's a shame but not surprised a i guess. i really never frequent the site and have bought a few things off the classifieds section, of course all three never showed up as advertised and when contacted the seller either had no reply or just lied threw there teeth. the mod's didn't care either. so i don't frequent the site because of it. two of the sellers have had many ads on there too.

I find the not-in-person form of communication to be; more honest, more confrontational, more bullshit, more lies, more badasser than you.  Most people are diff in person than they are behind the computer screen or phone.  Sometimes the distance lets them be more honest, sometime more of a bully.  Something about looking into someones and calling them a #$%^#$ %$% !@##@%%.

BTW "girls" on 1-900 lines are NOT near as cute as they sound either, just sayin!!!!
