New guy
« on: July 28, 2009, 05:35:23 AM »
Whats up folks. I'm from Orlando Florida. I own a little china buggy as of now. Well 2. My wife has a 250 and I run a 150. I've stroked it and big bore and all that good stuff. Needless to say it will spank the 250 on a short track or trail.

I now want to redo the whole suspension setup and probly drop a bigger motor in. I want to do this to get a better grasp on suspension.

Once we got a better understanding I will build what I want. I've been looking for some plans but I have'nt found a slim enough 2 seater yet. I do mainly trails so I want slim with travel.

I know some of you dont like the china stuff but hey, I paid 600 for it and it was well worth it to me. Plus they introduce guy's like myself to this sport. Now I want more

I was all happy with my buggy till I found these sites. I still love my little ride but when you guy's blow through the whoops I just shake my head. And after seeing some of the guy's building, and some of the rides out there, I see no reason why I cant build one.

We'll be up at duram town this month. Any one out there

Welcome Chuck.  I am sure you will find something interesting here.  :)

I think the hardest part of a build is deciding exactly what you want and sticking to it.  Pretty easy to just keep adding stuff till your 4X your budget.

Hope to see some pics and ideas of what you want to do.

I didn't want to depress him to much yet, and tell him the wishlist will be 10x the budget.

Brother I'm that guy. I started with this motor doing a simple re-ring. 150 bucks with shipping. 1000 bucks later I still got a 4 valve head to get before theres nothing left. Now it's such a little torque monster(For what it is) That it will drive right up and over it's self.

I was the third to roll one that day. I got the front tires up on a berm at st.joes and tapped the gas. It drove up and over. I tried to get it up before they got any pics. There were about 10 of us on that trail ride and about 40 of us at the gathering.

That pics is why I need to re do the suspension. I should have soaked it up not rolled it over
