Mini buggy / quad engine
« on: April 21, 2009, 08:02:31 PM »
This is the latest creation here. The brother in law threw this one together. It started out as a Coolster 250 china buggy, he exploded the motor ( literally ) and then ripped the front arms off. ( again, yeah he ripped'em off jumping it ) so he mounted a set of 450R Honda front a-arms, spindles and full race shocks and swapped the motor out to a 300 ex he had in his shop. full reverse, shocks that will take anything, his next upgrade is to go to IRS and a modified motor of some sort. He wants more power but don't we all.  He even mounted a remote control winch on the front for when he gets stuck. The woods here are tight and the dirt is rough so small buggies like this are PERFECT for our conditions. Here's a few vids of his creation in action. I'm driving in a few, he's driving in a few. Thanks for looking.

Nothing like stappin some wheels to your feet and @ss and a motor to your back! That has to be the smallest mini I have seen yet. Looks fun and nimble! Great little toy!  8)

i think it would be a different story if he had thrown a busa in it and were doing 100mph.. but i think he's pretty safe with the 300 motor.. so not to worry about it being a chinese buggy.. imo

with those mods I don't think it is still a chinese buggy (go cart) it's more like a pilot now!

looks like your having a great time and I like the way you wip 180's with the throttle.
