I am a bit worried about what to do with the turbo sinister car's chain I am working on right now though.  I am thinking it will be OK for awhile until he starts to get comfortable with the speed.  Hopefully, by then I will have some more info to work with.
since your drip setup worked, I am thinking the quickest and cheapest thing to do is to just do that, only make a removable aluminum shroud to go around the outside of the chain to keep it from making such a mess.  I would make it easily removable, and build a couple of them so it can be unbolted to install a clean one then let the old one soak overnight in some thinner when it gets caked up with sludge.

I really do like the oil bath idea, I just have a couple concerns.  Cost, how to fit it on a Jeffco unit that has to be adjustable, and power loss do to oil viscosity, which is what robs the reverse units of some of their power I believe.  If the drip works, and the only concern is the mess it makes, what could be easier than a chain guard all the way around to take care of the mess?

We got a great bunch of guys.  Im hoping i built mine long enough to skirt the chain issue but if not ill be on here tring to come up with a solution to the problem. Ill spray that sucka with some NOS and i bet it wont get hot then. Im not as worried bout the chain getting hot as i am with me getting hot. So how do i go about cooling down the driver?...No windshield... fan... install a/c... maybe an oil drip... ;D

So how are you running 30+ degrees with 930 cv's? You machined the UJ's for what ?35 degrees? What are you doing to get the travel back?

Expensive is durability, I am guessing enemy has spent more in 100.00 chains than he ever would have in ramsey chain, I understand the supplier costs, But if a owner cant spend another 3-400 bux on 40k car something is wrong... ramsey can be had in 1/2" width to 4 or 5 or whatever as far as i know...

FWIW, we didn't break the UJ axles.

I am pretty sure some kind of internal tensioning system is necessary regardless of chain.  There has to be some sprocket wear etc.  I don't know alot about the ramsey chain though.  I can look into it a bit.  You don't want to put much end load on the tranny output shaft with a wide chain though.  I have already heard of people shearing the busa output shaft.  The busa output is quite a bit smaller than the 14 I noticed.
