Now he looks like this. Actually that picture is about a year old. That is him as a captain on his college football team last year.
Him and his brother (The driver in the middle picture) are both in college. The go cart has sat for about six years in the weather, so I decided to bring it back to life.
so a little back story.
I have built Tuna towers, T Tops and stuff like that for boats since the early eighties. This has given me a good understanding of tig welding aluminum, bending pipe, and general layout, and fabrication.
I wanted to build something fun for me and my kids, but something relatively safe.
So here's the specs.
Length 96"
Width 48"
High 48"
Suspension 0"
Engine Briggs and Stratton Raptor 6hp.
Clutch Comet tav 30 torque convertor

Front tires wheelbarrow from home depot.(That didn't work)
Frame main rails 1 1/4" aluminum pipe.
Braces 1" aluminum pipe.

So now I am going to do a few upgrades.
But it will still be a go cart.
