Well I believe I got the prize for the most damage to the rail this trip.

My dad is a TV repairman and I can get you a hook up on duct tape.   Between the two you will be back up and running in no time.

I was pretty sure a little JB weld would fix it.  I you look close you can see daylight thru other side.

Sure can!!!! LOL!!!! I gotta say ,all the guys pitched in and tried to save the week for dunebound. Too bad it didn't work out due to a bolt pattern issue, but the carnage was worth the effort for DB!!! You ought to see his face light up telling about it!  8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) My thanks to all that pitched in. VERY cool guys.

I could not have been surround by a better group of people. Thank you just does not seem to be enough. Thanks to Faber, Fast, Timon, Deon, Carl, DS, and others not on DTS fab. I hope I named everyone but at one time there was Faber sittin on the rad, one guy on each tire and three more around it. Then some pulling parts off the new motor. Blow motor just made me realize why I really go down to LS. Its the people, hands down!

I also need to relay to everyone there from my dad he really enjoyed meeting you all. I have to say thankyou for being you. Just cant say enough.  Go down with this group and you just have to have a good time. My dad couldn't get over that I blew a motor and we celebrated it!

I will post pictures of the tear down. I know we all want to see the inside of that new boat anchor!

luckily you have a spare at home but that's not something we think about taking especially after it was running soo good here before you left!!  I got to say pulling you back was a real test for my rail lol I have never smelt clutch before on my rail nor did I think we were going to make it up that last dune as steep as it was  ;) ;D  and I'm sure you had a lap full of sand greater than fabbr and mrs's fabbr after carl's roost!!  LMAO LMAO LMAO LMAO LMAO rofl rofl rofl rofl

dune's right though the people from dts as well as those that aren't are worth the trip and a damn good bunch of folks!!

Who would've thought an identical motor would have a different flywheel bolt pattern.  bs1  Another 30 min we'd had that new motor in and be adding liquids for the next run.  Never seen someone (your Dad) laugh so much while we tore that motor out.  1st time dune trip he'll never forget.

Just before we went to get the other motor. I asked dad if he wanted to ride that bad or if he wanted to see if we could pull it off. He said " I kinda want to you guys pull that off." Which we did pull it off. We just had to put the old one back!

But it did SUCK then we couldn't get that other engine to work.
