Very interesting design..
I have been looking for any viable option to the Go-Pro. I hate how "desensitized" the fish eye lenses make the footage appear. 2 feet looks like a football field away. Dont know about the GoPro3, I heard the lens has been improved but they are way to proud of that one $$

I'm tempted to try them.

Very nice ending!
Didnt know about the Sony, like the color, much more accurate. The Hero 3 has the same blur in the center of the lens I see with the 2's. Some are more noticeable than others. Mile is terrible! Lens shape quality I suppose... That and people RUNNING IT OVER!!!  DS!!!!  rofl

You know Ds can't see for shit!  Lol
I thought the replay xd was brought up a little while back. Looks cool, terrains is flat not all bubbled. Gp3 has built in wifi and can be controlled and viewed with smartphone. Fisheye is suppose to be better on 3.

I'm about to pull the trigger on the Replay XD1080 unit. Found the actual Replay site    http://replayxd.com/products/camera-systems/       and I think I like all I read. With the issues all seem to have with the GP stuff I'm not going that route.

lol ya the end was good but the diff isn't night and day but better.    I don't record in 1080 p on my go pro because the footage is more distorted than r3 setting but in 1080 p much more clarity.

just watched rugged's video and it does look better but they didn't post it on youtube in 1080p, the replay looks better than the go pro and new gp3 even.

For speed the high FPS is best.  One of them will do 120 FPS?  But most seem to "slow down the action".  The low mounted rear facing shots from DS's car were better, but I was eatin sand and within 2 car lengths many a times and it still looked like I wasnt in picture.
Camera's make a diff, but the real tallent comes from the editing.  Some amazing videos and some crap all shot with same camera.

An interesting and pretty detailled review. There is now a remote and external battery packs for it contrary to the review.
