My axles only need approx 1/2" plunge. My question now is if I were to use the 930 non plunge cv,could I avoid the use of the slip shaft and allow the plunge to be accomplished in the cv star same as now  ?  I'm at 25 degrees at full droop now with plunging 930's and solid axles . I'd like to gain a couple inches or so of droop but don't like the slip shaft axles unless absolutely necessary .

Using the splines on the shafts to get your 1/2" of travel will work.. that hows atv are made... but if this is a high hp application I will caution you that there may be axial forces on the internal race making it unable to plunge... hope this makes sense.  We do have a 30 day 100% customer satisfaction gurantee.

Yes I know what you are saying. I'm using turbo hayabusa power at approx 300HP and somewhere in the range of MAYBE 200 ft lb torque. I'm thinking that plunge in the star would not likely be an issue?

RCV, can you describe correct measuring method for your fixed 930CV with slip joint axles?

Measure between the inboard and outboard flanges at full droop, compressed and ride height.
