Too much can actually help suck the grease away from the cv due to too little air volume left after filling the boot partially with lube allowing more "pull" of the grease from the cv. At least that's what i was taught when I worked for VW.
"There can be no divided allegiance here.  Any man who says he is an American,
but something else also, isn't an American at all.  We have room for but one
flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is
the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a
loyalty to the American people."
Theodore Roosevelt 1907

Ya
Too much grease can be a bad thing...It's like hydraulics when it has no place to go...I used grease and a 3/4" threaded rod a couple of weeks ago to push a stubborn Pilot bushing out of the 327 on my 71'
Worked like a charm ;D
But I imagine the boots wouldn't like that kinda pressure...
Now as for you sen`nor smartie pants Artie...I'd Smite you But your a sick pup and like it ;D
Fair DINKUM....YA BASTAD ;D

38th Ave just north of Clarendon...I was just there! Might have to go back...what would be a good grease I could get at Napa? AZT is 50 miles from me, unless I get a service call on that side of town.
