I'm sure my old motor was putting out 250 hp plus. it dam sure had more then the dynode 200hp my old Subaru had. seat of the pants dyno on the VW.   by the way who got into sand rail to save money. ??

That motor was built for a $100,000 resto project. It wasn't meant to be a massive powerhouse. Just dead reliable.

I'm sure it will run for a long time. great little motors. I have a  1915cc in my wife's car  great motor. can beat the hell out of it. it would just keep on taking it.

my guess is you live close to water. . its a 3 hour drive, to a lake you can ski on from my place. we have some fishing lake closer but they are all no wake lakes. two boat was all I needed to learn that one.

you couldn't pay me to go boating let alone fish. eff all that. My dad asked me if I wanted his lake house/docks/boat/jet skis, etc  before he passed. I said,NOPE. He loved the place and I could not have cared less for it. I said sell it. Kind of disappointed him but the invested money looks a lot nicer AND no maintenance/taxes/insurance/BS involved.

I could get back into it. but it would be for nothing more then grandkids. if that ever happens. it would be fun watching them learn to fish and tube. but as for me. I could be just as happy seating at the camper watching boats go by. lol

i still have a pos of a jet boat. hasn't fired off in 2 years now and i really enjoy swimming and boating. back when my family enjoyed it we went 3 nights a week sometimes 4 but we are 10 min's from branched oak lake nw of lincoln. the family just got tired of boating....all except myself and just stopped going. i am not a fan of jet ski's though. they can be fun but just don't feel safe which is why i bought the little 14' jet boat.......i'll never do that again  rofl
