rubber fuel lines
« on: July 08, 2009, 09:42:28 PM »
does anyone have any tricks for forming rubber hose? like the factory fuel lines on my donor bike had 90degree formed bends in the hose hooking to the petcock... any trick to doing this with regular fuel line.. or whats the best option.

Bend a rod to the form you want and slip the hose on it then boil some water and submerse it. I have done this with air lines. Be sure the rod is smaller diameter than the hose ID

If I believe I cannot do something it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe that I can, then I acquire the ability to do it , even if I didn't have it at the beginning.

I'm wondering what that would be?

Boost....Why always trying to choke our CHICKEN???
vdc...
Pot of boiling water...wire formed fuel line...soak for 60 seconds or more...
pull part and let it cool...Pull the wire...not perfect but a formed hose...vinyl hoses for better than rubber do this way but it should get you into the ballpark
