CVT's don't hit like a bike clutch so they don't break stuff as much...
Engineer,
The best way for me to describe a CVT to a bike clutch is this
The CVT is like I came up and gave you a HARD push throttle side...with coasting on the deceleration side
Bike clutch is like I came up and smacked you with a baseball bat on the throttle side and the decelleration side
So It is much easier on fnr boxes, and chains

1K?  One thousand dollars for a top of the line clutch capable of holding 650 Hp.

WOW!!

This is gonna be Great!

And cheap!!

So I have only one question............

Who makes a good BULLET PROOF FNR for one?

at 650 hp drag sled, i think they only go one way, forward... ;D

If anyone wants Comet stuff let me know. For low HP stuff, an inexpensive package is the FL250 setup with drive driven and belt. The drive is for a tapered shaft, but can be bored for straight shaft. The same clutch is available for a straight shaft, but the package price is much cheaper. The 4-Pro drive is probably rated at higher HP than the 108EXP that I use. It has 4 cam arm and roller sets instead of 3.

Right now the highest HP driven they offer is probably the 790D good for like 100. So most use the Arctic Cat roller driven. Comet does have a comparable driven in the works though.

So I should go ahead and order a Transworks box, and hang the driven shive off the input shaft?? ::) :P :P :P :P

I hear you....
