Oh my, have I stared at that pic and said to myself "Jon, Ya better think bout stuffing some cash in yer bottom end.."

Then I used up all 9 lives of the Ole' Fat Lady's heart in one sitting last summer...I'm VERY lucky..

I came up with a high speed vibration after a soft clutch dump in the rail to traverse over a sharp terrace.....figured out what it was!

What pisses myself off is, I friggin' know better.. I have  seen first hand a scattered case of a turbo KZ from the OEM clutch basket letting go...Stupid brain!

Cracked a stock Banshee basket with hard launches on a mild (420cc) build. Just letting yall know what can happen with the heavier weight we push (or hard launches) with bike motors on HD clutch springs and a stock clutch basket kick :'(

And just for clarification,  The Ole Fat Lady refers to my 2000 Busa that donated her heart for Spider Monkey. She had 70000 UNTOUCHED miles on her when I decided to harvest her organs....and give DS all my beer money.

Not only did you break it you were trying to make the steels slice through it! LOL!!! Did the clutch work smoothly up  till then? Reason I ask is those BIG grooves from the steels in the basket.

Worked damn nice actually!
I still stare at the pieces in amazement of how it all stayed at the bottom of the case through all the abuse!

I've got a Suzuki 250r sheard all fingers off the clutch basket.  All fell to bottom, you could still ride and change gears.
You can keep your CHANGE, I'd like to keep my DOLLAR.

I have never broken a clutch basket (Crosses finger and knocks on wood (head)) But when I used to do the hot rod drag banshees one of the clutches basket fingers got so wore with the little grooves like that it would stick under load as the plates wedged themselves in the grooves.

Made for some funny scenes as it would stick and unstick on its terms and did not make for a smooth riding style....
Your mission isn't to dive feet first into hell, but to make sure its crowded when you get there.
