Hey hey keep that down! Dont want people thinking Im sending you knock off plans... I just found them in a drawer on Wed. I have them in my truck ready to go out for tomorrow LOL.

Sounds like A good motor to me! I like the Hondas. There are many other good motors and some better but I believe this to be a pretty good find!

the 1000 has got more power than the 929rr or the 954 hands down. the 929rr compared to a 900 ninja is a dog, I've run both of those. I have never been impressed with the honda motors compared to kawasaki or suzuki myself but have not compared or tested the 1000. I bet that motor really moves that cuda though!

If I could find one around me for the right money, I'd jump on it.....
The 1000 fell thru so I guess I'm on to sniffing out something else anyway.
Since the subject is out there, How much seat of the pants feel is there between say a 750cc to a 1000cc and then on to the 1300cc.
I guess what I'm asking is at what point does wheel spin come into play?

It's all about power vs weight. A 100 hp 600 cc in a 500 lb buggy would make your butt rip out seat foam.

I'm looking for a busa if price right.  I also spied a zx10 that was priced right.

for the money the r1 1000cc by yamaha is hard to beat. plenty of power and  plenty of young kids wrecking them too. they always seem cheaper than the rest. I've had one in my personal rail and installed 2 others in customers w/o complaints on a 825 - 900 lb 2 seat long travels. the zx10r is a damn good motor but don't bother with the 12r cause of clutch problems. the 14r sounds to be solid in that area too and the gssxr 1000 cc are great engines as well.

I have a ZX9R kit looking for a home. I am planning on using it in a future build but Id sell it. Hell everything is for sale and everything is there to make it go.

X2. I had a R1 in a big car and loved it. Great power and half the price of a bussa. I got two for $1500 each complete when I did mine. My motors were made in 2004 and I got them in 2006. The 2004 R1 make something like 168hp and the 2004 bussa was like 174hp.

Thanks for offer Doug, but by the time I pay to ship it, I think it'd be 250 bucks more I could spend on something closer to me start with.

Dsrace, and Punkur
I've seen a few of the R1 engines but I was under the impression that they had tranny issues too, so I'll go back and check out some of the r1's I dismissed. Thanks Guys

I was not aware of any trans issues. I ran mine in a full size car not a mini for more than 2 seasons and never had trans issues. I was also running 31" tires. They also make a race kit for the R1 that bumps up the rev limiter 500 rpm and gives you a harness that makes the motor stand alone. I got my kit for $150 on ebay

I have heard of the tranny issues and was always concerned with them but I think this may have been in the earlier R1's
