Title: fuel regulator
Post by: 455bird on February 18, 2009, 04:09:19 AM
Ok this may be a stupid question but do busa have a fuel regulator on them? My R-1 had a regulator on the fuel rail with a return line that I ran back to the tank. On this busa motor I only see one fuel line hook up.

The regulator is in the tank with the factory pump. If going to an external pump you will need an external regulator.

This stuff ain't cheap. Many projects are unfinished due to not realizing the TOTAL cost of the project including things like this and all the "small" stuff that quickly add up to real money.

You have to regulate the psi to the injectors to keep them consistently spraying the same amount...

It regulates the fuel pressure to the injectors.

It regulates the fuel pressure to the injectors.

Hes not running boost so he wouldn't want an FMU. The stock system on the bike just bypasses fuel at the pump back to the tank when the f.p. hit its target somewhere around 40-45 psi. You could adapt the stock fuel rails with these >

I would get two of them an have one side "IN from the pump and fuel rail "Out" going to this>

(I'm keeping future upgrades in mind with this system ;D)Or an equal quality one if you prefer.. Regulator then returns to the tank. Set your static FP  42+/- psi and have a nice day! ;)
