mounting a floor

How far apart should the tabs be that hold the floor to the frame? I am getting vibration in the floor that i think is excesstive so i am going to add more tabs but i am not sure how close to make them.  any help would be great.  Thank guys

Kind of hard to answer. How thick is your floor and what material?

I spaced mine approx 14" apart with a 1/8" gap between frame and floor pan. No rattles. If your floor pan is contacting the frame you will need to use something along the lines of foam weatherstripping or similar to dampen rattles.

I used neoprene washers, and prob 10-15" spacing depending on how it worked out.  Need some foam stripping where it goes under some tubes to help with the rattle.  But the diamond plate floor seems quieter than smooth.

add a few more tabs and that might help but if you haven't powdercoated yet then i would add a few more tabs but 1 other solution is dyna mat......cut 1" stips and put them between the tabs and floor. fabbr is right if the floor touch's the frame and not just the tabs then it quite possibly is that in which case the dyna mat will take care of that.
