Some wrote up how to do this one time an I can not find it. It looks like the end of a bike cable.

I posted the info but haven't had time to find it. It's here somewhere. Haven't read yours yet but,probably pretty similar.Is your cable galvanized or stainless? Takes a different solder for each.
