Anyone have an easy way to add a parking brake to a rear disc brake? thanks

I would think a standard slave cylinder operated by a handle to place hydrolic pressure would work. If you need a cable operated style, maybe one from a quad if you can get it to fit over rotor.

fabbr those do work for some but i had problems with 2 of them on two diff rails so i through them away. the second rail i actually had to crack the line to drop pressure to get it to release! speedway motors sells a caliper that is mechanically actuated but a cable. i would use that one and build or buy an e brake handle for that. just my personal opinnion but like i said many have had those hydrolic ones work.

Ds,proper use will prevent that issue. Ya HAVE to apply the brake harder when releasing than when setting to get to release. They work well. I think you were over applying pressure when setting the brake and then couldn't get to release since you couldn't stomp on the brake harder yet to release. .

I'm bettin Crazy is needing it for dot BS to drive on street. I also bet it needs to be cable activated. In case of hydo failure you still have some brakes.

We have had delivery trucks in the past that had that as the only Parking brake. My Kodiak C6500 has an electric over hydraulic PB. In Kansas ,at least,any form of parking brake will do.

I tried stomping the brake to release it but never worked. but like I said others seem to have luck with them but I didn't like them. if I was going to use something I would go with something like this personally.

Those line locks suck. Put a regular ball valve in line. All of the race cars I have done recently have seperate valves for front and rear. Rip a line off? no problem, close the valve and keep going.

Ball valve? Stomp brake, close valve this holding pressure on caliper. That's too easy and cheap.

Carl nailed it. I have one of the parklocks that Fabr showed in the picture above already installed.
The ball valve Idea is a nice one.
