steering joints?

ok guys what steering joints are we all using? pics? I've got the chrome pacific customs you weld in splined stubs and run a bolt through and have had one come loose and drop the shaft on me now. wanting to see options

ya they sell those at speedway motors wharehouse south of me 20 min's but I always wanted to be able to change the joints and they all looked like they welded on one side.

Actually I used them and just drilled a roll pin thru them.  So far so good.....

I weld the smooth onto shaft, spline on other.  Not terrible to cut weld slip joint off and replace.  Sweet ones look good, and it says no slop!!

For lightweight buggies the cheaper ones work just fine. Heavier ,larger buggies will benefit from the better Sweet joints,IMO.

I have got to find time to weigh my rail  ;D   I will have to mod the steering shaft when I add ps this winter a long with another mod  ;) any ways so I might make the change then to the sweet ones to try them but  for now I am going to try a back up nut for the trip. having your steering u joint come off on the dunes really suck btw  rofl
