I can really appreciate the polishing. I did a bike frame and rims on mine and a few others for extra cash. got out of it about 5 years ago and never looked back. Only on my stuff now. Very time consuming. I certainly can appreciate it though!

As far as 1/4-20 in a 1/2" plate. that's what my FOX Reservoir clamps are. The counter bore for the 1/4-20 is 3/8". I have used that set up very well. thicker is better but I didn't see a need. No issues yet.

them water jetted? Or machined?  I see the engraving is machined but what about the part?

If I believe I cannot do something it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe that I can, then I acquire the ability to do it , even if I didn't have it at the beginning.
