thank you all very much. it is a tragic thing to lose your little brother in such a manner. regardless how finding him (it was unspeakable) ....knowing is better than not knowing.  the best i can tell...... he broke down with a steering problem ( based on eye accounts of him swerving then pulling off the road) on the county road A and hwy 79 and got mad and went for a walk in shorts and a hoodie sweat shirt. it was 18* out side and pitch black. a witness stated he saw him walking down the highway about an 1/8 mile from his suv and in the dark he must have gotten turned and thought the light from the farm houses were light from the town and walked east instead of north when he cut through a field and found the 18' to 20' bank of a deep creek. that was on jan 1 and that night is when the cold front set in and then we had a couple days of below 0 temps ambient!!! all of the help involved in finding him was outstanding and we wouldn't have with out them. that ice was 4' to 8" thick and still 4' to 8' deep under it.
