The rough sawn ,wavy edge western cedar siding is what really sets it apart. I'll get a couple close up pics so you guys can see. It has a wavy cut edge to simulate the look of a slab cut from a natural log shape. I pondered long and hard on using it since it ONLY cost me approx $3 per square foot compared to straight edge cedar siding @ less than 1/2 the cost or more commonly used sidings at less than 1/4 the cost but I'm very glad I spent the coin now.

No fireplace for the reason you gave.My 48x110 shop is only 300 feet away. It's the same distance from my current house. I'm building on the same property,just across the pond.

It was a balmy 30 degrees today.
 
Here's a google earth shot of my place. Current house is in red,new house in yellow and shop in that sissy color ,whatever that is. ;D

I really like the wavy siding, it looks perfect on that style of home!!

Does the underside / plenum area have access to it?  How tall is it?  Reason I ask is water can be a bitch on sub floor decking, and underfloor HVAC ducts, etc.  We are all just one burrito away from a toilet overflow.

Yes , it has access ,under the elevator and a whole house dehumidifier in the system to avoid any condensation issues as well. Being concrete floor in the crawlspace makes access everywhere ,on a creeper,a piece of cake!

Elevator?  Planning ahead huh?   I see folks around here cut corners, do the cheap way on all the foundation, waterproofing, structural stuff then spend money on the finishes.  Lights, wall covering, counters, flooring.  Then kick themselves constantly. 

Great job, love the creeper idea.  Too old for hands and knees.  At least for going under house! ;)

Well,next Monday I should be able to take a break and finish the buggy hood and get the body fully mounted.Oh,I'm sooooo happy!   ii: ii: Drywall is hung ,ready for finishingbut for bath room,still waiting on custom shower base.  Probably another 3 weeks till it's here. I leave the drywall taping to the pros. SOME things are best left to those that do it all the time.Should be about right delay though to get hood done. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Ya,I wake up one morning about 25 years ago to a bulldozer about 100 feet on MY SIDE of the property line. Sorry bastard.We still don't speak or acknowledge each other even exist at all.  He stays the hell on his property though!  ;) ;)
