        Does anyone else here believe that maybe when the second amendment was drafted that the word (Firearms) was not coined as yet?  Only the word Arms. As in I believe Patrick Henry's Rise to arms.

I agree with that completely because firearms were often called arms in those days. When used in proper sentance context. Thus they stated arms and meant firearms. It was how they did things with what they had. 

Firearm meant ONE gun. Arms meant get them all.

You guys do realize that the mincing of words is how we have "change" accomplished don't you? The INTENT of the 2nd amendment ,as written,was clear.  Muddy the water enough though by over analyzing the words and you can redefine intent by doing so. A favorite tactic now days.
