We go out to Arizona sometimes and shoot their longer ranges. This should make it fun. I am also going to try and put down my first deer this year with my new rifle.

Good luck, you definitely have the appropriate tool for the job.  Makes me think back to my first deer.  Got 'em with an old Marlin lever action .35 rem.  Great brush gun for GA. but out here in the wide open spaces it's .30-06 or similar.

I messed with my 10-22 last year. I did a stainless barrel, black composite stock, 2 pound trigger kit, mag release extension, recoil kit with billet handle, and a flash suppresor.

Sounds like you got it all decked out.  I haven't really understood why people put a flash suppressor on a .22, other than it looks cool.  Not usually too much tactical shooting going on with 'em.

That looks like a great day!

Nice Guns.  ;)

Muzzle brakes (I have seen it spelled both ways, brake/break) are very nice and reduce recoil significantly, but they make hearing protection absolutely neccesary.  It's a good idea anyway, but many times neglected when out shooting .22 and AR's, but that .308 with a brake will be deafening.

Looks like a hell of a coyote rifle!
If you remain calm while everything around you is complete chaos... then you probably haven't fully understood the situation!

...sometimes you will even see the trail of the bullet approaching the target. Once you see that you want to see it again.Fairly rare to see though. I've only seen it 3 times.

That is called "trace" and you can see it every time if you are the spotter. That is how you correct your shooter. By knowing where his bullet hit. Try it sometime. Get your buddy to shoot while you use a scope just behind his firing shoulder. You want to use a spotting scope. Bring it into focus on the target and then back it off just a hair. You can read trace all day... I'll post some pictures of some of my toys later!

Yes,I know but rare as hell for the shooter. At least for me.

We weren't talking about tracer rounds. We were talking about the hole the bullet makes in the air and the void momentarily left in its' wake. A cavitation in the air. If you're lucky as the shooter you will get to see it. As a spotter you can see it much more readily if you're directly behind the shooter.

I added to the armory lately. I just picked up a browning hp 9mm, and converted my saiga .308 to a standard ak-47 configuration. Pulled all the ladies out for some pics a couple weeks back.

Man I'd love a Browning HP MkIII.

Nice collection!
