Title: Connect the dots, and say bye bye to your 401k, pension, etc
Post by: Yummi on May 26, 2015, 09:36:03 PM
OK,

This has been brewing for a few years.  You have to follow it to know WTF.  We it was discussed a few years back it got no press.  Still does not.

Here it is in a nut shell.  The country sucks.  We are in debt.  At some point there will have to be a "wealth tax" to keep the .gov going.  In retirement accounts there is in excess of $19t.  To put that in perspective our total economy is $17t annual.  (We spend about $4t vs revenue of $3+t at the Federal level) OK, big numbers.  Crash course:  1,000 million is a billion.  1,000 billion is a trillion.  So, 1t is 1 million million.

A few years back Obama discussed during the state of the union a concept called "MYIra."   Promises of funding retirement with "no risk of loss." (Well, lets not discuss negative returns after inflation. )  Essentially he was selling .gov bonds.  Return on those is well, retarded low.  But, to fund the machine the .gov needs to sell them.  How to do that?  We are exhausting current options and it is just fun with numbers.  We need a whole new group of suckers investors to tap into.

Last week the Supremes, in a unanimous decision, stated that employers have an OBLIGATION to protect employees 401k accounts from excessive fees and or poor performance in retirement funds.   I suppose this would be extracted to pension funds and any form of retirement account.

What oh what is the "solution" to this "problem?"  How do we protect the masses from loosing money in their retirement accounts?

I know:  MyIra.

That's right, coming soon, I would venture within two years or so, your .gov forcing you to buy your .gov bonds.  All for your protection.
