great to have you on the board.

Tell us more about that little puppy. Bet you can smoke the tires on that thing in a cats eye minuet. I like-y the little water cooled VW's. Use to work on them quit a bit. Still got a head that I put big valves and all done up with a cam. Never got to use it. Port and polished and flowed. To bad VW never done the block in aluminum. Would have been a rocket on wheels in a buggy.

Nice ride! 8) 8) 8) Is that a Berrian Buggy warrior chassis with the fiberglass body kit?
-
Sorry
I posted here and got called out of country to work and then came home and forgot about my post
Just a bit of info yes it is a berrien chassis but a very old one from back in the day when it was called a LCWT1002 not a warrior
It has a 2088cc rabbit motor built and dyno'ed at the now closed mini performance and specialities in Toledo Ohio Denny Mcnutt the owner is a very good friend of mine built a ton of midget motors and used to be Autocraft engines
the engine is a 2088cc stroker with a ton of cylinder head work by MPS double 44 weber idfs webcam 3/4 grind cam trimill exhaust msd ignition
engine made 187 hp 181 ft/lbs torque @ 6700 rpm on MPS's dyno
The cat weighs 1180 with full tank of gas and runs 12.21 @ 115 mph
it has 4 wheel disc brakes bias adjustable from drivers seat there is a fair bit of work in the BJ front suspension it has a spear in the top tube and 2 adjusters in bottom tube with split torsion leaf clusters rear suspension also has adjustable torsion bars this allows me to do some weight jacking because as far as sandrails go it is an extremely compotent slalom car
it has an intellidash dash board and i use a high end bicycle speedo for my odometer as that is are requirement to be street legal here in Ontario Canada
kirkey racing seats a freeway flyer style t1 trans it will cruise all day at 70+ mph on the super slab as i no longer have any place to run off road legally here i turned it into what i like to call my protouring sandrail
my wife and i both had bikes but for our 350 to 500 km sunday tours we prefer the buggy
