its been a nasty storm here. eastern nebraska. started tuesday i think. now since wednesday night its been blowing, snowing, drifting like crazy out. all highways closed. no police responding. you can barely see an inch in front of you on the highway. not supposed to stop untill tommorrow afternoon. crazy.

It took my boy 11 1/2 hours yesterday to go 150 miles from coffeyville to Oklahoma City .

That same storm is moving through here now but as rain. Supposed to freeze tonight and snow all weekend.

The inlaws called from Kansas today. Said it was blowing 40MPH and snowing. I told them it was 70 and I was wearing shorts. They told Me to stuff it.........

We keep going from snow to sleet to rain and back.
It just keeps building up layers of ice. We do not have too much snow here but the ice is awesomely slippery.
Everyone who has tried to go around the corner by my house at more than a few MPH has spun around.
We did some last minute shopping on the 24th and coming home on the freeway at 65 mph it was OK till the rain started to freeze and about a mile out from my exit and the last 2 miles to my house it was wet ice! Had to slow to 20 mph and the wind was SCREAMING out of the east. It would blow the vehicle sideways! FUN!
Not the slickest I have ever drove on but close!

Fookin snow! I just got in from driving 142 miles of ice covered roads, 8 miles of un plowed county road, 3 blocks of 2-4 ft drifts, and then got stuck pulling into the driveway. Son of a bitch.... All I have is a shovel too. :'( I'll let ya know how it turns out.. thumb down

Camera batteries went dead so I'll get bix later...when I was finishing up...it started to rain...shit was too wet for the blower so I used the bucket

Finally got my truck in the driveway, then they came along and plowed me in. 9: fxxk, I think I'm gonna test out my new trailer. See if I can borrow somebody's skid loader... My piles are as tall as I am and I'm runnin out of places to put it.

WOW! High Desert living aint bad. We got hit with a "bad" storm a few days ago. All the snow and ice was melted by 10AM. Stay safe guys... and warm!

i barely made it home this morning. its so deep.. all the town was covered in more than 3 ft of drifts.. plows werent out yet so people with trucks were trying to cut paths. insane. finally stopped blowing and snowing. now clean up time.
few years back i visited albuquerque (after i had lived there) and they had the worst snow storm in however many years..we just made it out before they closed the interstates. it was crazy too.
oh btw.. 8ft drifts out in my area entrance... bullshit..

Yup its been bad here as well. Low 60's at night and high 70's during the day..I just love the cold weather in hawaii.8)

I hear ya Ace its been in the low 40's at night and low 70's in the day here. Not as warm but still warm enough to sweat when out at work.

not sure how much snow is normal fro you guys.. but we got 20 inches this last storm.. have not had that much since 1989..

We got about the same...then it rained...then a few more inches to make it interesting...now it's back into the freezer thumb down

House never got below 70*.....But I ran 7 boxes of fire wood and a box and a half of pallett wood thru it ;D -37 here now with the wind chill///I better go feed :P

I let it idle in the driveway for an hour today while I was moving trailers and boxes around...Instead of shutting it off and get cold...Crap when I was a kid we used to let the Big skidder run for weeks at a time when it was this cold out...Only shut it off to check the oil then fire it back up right away...
Cuz back then when that fooker wouldn't start...You had to build a fire under it and heat the motor thru 2" of steel skid plates with out starting the fooking machine on fire ;D

Snow is everywhere this year. Here are some pics from the David City area. I was breaking out the farm. Some drifts are taller than the loader will go! (14ft)

last few winters we have not barely had enough to get the snow mobiles out.. this year they are everywhere, tracks everywhere. in that aspect this snow is good.
