It wanted me to log in too (on Fabrs first link) and I aint doing that off any other persons link as thats a way to steal a LOG in ID. (Not that I think FABR would do that but somone might trick him into it fer themselves)....
So I tried to post a link I hope yah can follow. IF NOT just cut and paste (or type) the item number into the (Evilbay) search bar.
Its: 130351151955
And that will show you the item.

wellllll, when I went to it, it asked ME to log in! LOL!!!!! Whatever. WTF knows what wizard designs the "brains" of this stuff. Sure as hell ain't me LOL!!!! Anyway, yes I bought it. It has ability for me to argon/nitrogen atmosphere and allow me to bright anneal the modified VW input shaft and have Grob roll on their spline. The seal area of the stock 091 VW input shaft just happens to be just .006 undersize for a standard Grob spline. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) Some things just come together on their own sometimes! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Of course I can then bright re-heat treat the shaft also. I thought it a pretty good buy and just happened to be available when I need it. Must be all the good kharma I've been racking up lately! LMAO

Just got it home about an hour ago.I think I did just fine. Very little use on it for sure!
-
Cool stuff. I just finished helping out with a big oven for a glass worker. It is an 8' octagon he is using to make some seriously large telescope lenses, one at a time. The glass heats up and fuses for 2.5 weeks, then anneals for the next 7. It's controlled to cool at close to a degree an hour. I'm glad I don't have to pay the power bill on that one. After it comes out he'll be grinding for months.
-
You going to be the go to guy for our heat treating needs now?

I'm thinkin Fabr

You going to be the go to guy for our heat treating needs now?
Well,I hadn't given it a thought but YES! But, as you know,be patient!

Here is a picture of a few of my furnaces (the first one is shown on the manufacturer's floor, prior to being installed at my shop). If anyone around here ever gets to Northern Nevada, feel free to give me a call and I'll show you around my shop (if you are interested in heat treating or brazing).

No seriously ,that is a killer offer form someone in a kind of secretive industry. Several of us could benefit nicely from the offer. I know I could! Doug? Fast? Engineer? ?????

The second photo is from my actual shop.
When you pay $750,000 for each of these furnaces, you try and keep them looking/running good.
-
LOL!!!! I bet!
-
Hey Ill make that! Vegas too afterwards!!!
-
Sounds good. Maybe someone could offer me a ride in one of these hi-performance vehicles in exchange for the tour. I've never been in one. Masterfabr sent me links to some of Doug Heim's videos, I'll have to make sure to have a few shots of Jack Daniels before I get in one of those (ludicrous speed).
A bit off topic, but here's a link of my brother on his sport touring motorcycle, my Dad is on camera. I think my brother would fit in with this crowd.

I'm sure a ride will be easily had.
