I am a person that thinks that illegal immigration hurts the US or any other country for that matter. I know that the following is not technically correct but IMO the basis is valid. We have in the last couple of years seen a large increase in illegal workers here in SE Kansas.I know other places have been dealing with it for much longer. Due to the short time we have been exposed to it tho we really see the impact on local tradesmen. Many are now struggling to maintain profitability due to the fact that THEY pay employment taxes,carry workers compensation insurance ,liability insurance,etc.. The illegals tho do not. THe illegals work for much less and for the most part do decent work. That's not the point tho. THe point is that they have a very unfair advantage since they do not fear lawsuits or government intervention ,therefore they carry no insurance and are able to pay their workers much less also. And as the following illustrates they are able to maintain a very nice lifestyle since they have the advantage of Uncle Sam not taking 30+ % of their profits. It's time the illegals are made to play by the same rules as the US citizens that they are competing against. To me anyway it makes no difference if you are white,black,brown,yellow or any other color of the rainbow. All I want is a level playing field for all to compete on. In the US at least we need to document, and hold to the same rules, ALL people that are here.

take 30% away for state federal tax. Joe Legal now has $31,231.00
Jose Illegal...$15.00 per hour x 40 hours $600.00 per week, $31,200.00
per year Jose Illegal pays no taxes... Jose Illegal now has $31,200.00
Joe Legal pays Medical and Dental Insurance with limited
coverage $1000.00 per month $12,000.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $19,231.00
Jose Illegal has full Medical and Dental coverage through the state and local
clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00
Joe Legal makes too much money and is not eligible for Food Stamps or welfare.
Joe Legal pays for food $1,000.00 per month
$12,000.00 per year Joe Legal now has $ 7,231.00
Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for Food Stamps and Welfare.
Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00
Joe Legal pays rent of $1,000.00 per month, $12,000.00 per year
Joe Legal is now in the hole minus (-) $4,769.00
Jose Illegal receives a $500 per month Federal rent subsidy Jose Illegal pays
$500.00 per month for rent. $6,000.00 per year
Jose Illegal still has $25,200.00
Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part
time job after work. Jose Illegal has nights and weekends off to
enjoy with his family.
Joe Legal's and Jose Illegal's children both attend the same school. Joe Legal
pays for his children's lunches while, Jose Illegal's children get a government
sponsored lunch.
Jose Illegal's children have an after school ESL program.
Joe Legal's children go home.
Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same Police and Fire Services, but Joe
paid for them and Jose did not pay.

Then Do not vote or support any politician that supports illegal aliens...

Especially when all that money goes to the illegals and injured or debilitated americans who have paid their taxes and union dues can't get any Damn help...Loose they're livelyhood, homes and dignity

It's just not the illegals, i would guess about 20-30% of legal americans don't pay taxes either.
My brother in law gets paid 50 on and 50 off the books and his wife 100 off, both white and born americans. With his low income they get state assisted health care for their four kids and bigger tax deductions at the end of the year. They have a nice house, newer vehicle's and are always on the go.
This is just one of several examples of legal americans that I know of that don't pay there dues and take advantage of the system while the rest of us play by the rules and struggle to make ends meet.

watching tv the other day (rare for me...) but it was on bits of the US... they said on there that there are around 13 million illegals in the US..... is that right? Damn thats a lot of people...our whole country only got 21 million..... (mostly illegals to I suspect.....)... :-X

A very simple solution to the issue.
Put the employers who hire the illegals in prison. They are the ones breaking the law! Get rid of the jobs and they wont come!

BUT are employers always aware that they ARE illegals? Here they simply quote a bogus tax file number and away they go to the next job after a few weeks....
We have regular 'round ups' of the fruit picking locations (of which we are here)... always seem to net the odd visa over-stayer....
Apparently whenever an 'official' looking vehicle arrives at a vineyard there is a ghostly diasappearance of many pickers.... quite strange......

If they KNOWINGLY hire or choose to just turn an obviously blind eye to the fact they should be punished/fined/jailed in some fashion proportionate to the level of the offense. When OFFICIALS are turning a blind eye then I think a double penalty is appropriate.

NW Georgia>> carpet capital of world. Dalton Ga has nearly 50% Hispanic population, mostly illegal. Had a hugh chicken processer here in town get busted a few years back. As part of their fine they have to help fund raids on other business'. That business had to know cause several workers had same ID, never spoke english, couldn't drive legally and the business would shuttle them to work in a bus.

"IF..." sheeesh... how about knowing or not? Would putting the responsibility in the employers hands and enforcing it go a long way towards fixing your perceived problem? Is it not just another example of evidence of the inherent corruption in the "no responsibility" government and bureaucracy? How about just accepting nothing will change by just talking about it? Is Adam Kokesh a nutter or a man of action? (I refrain from using the word Patriot as the Bush tyranny sullied its meaning)
At least we can agree greed is the problem.... An ironic thing about the "greed is good" meme is that in the movie, Gordon Gecko was an expression of the Antichrist, but many God fearing folk ate it up - still do. That and the "Reaganomics" meme which is essentially the same thing.

around here, alot of the illegals buy ss numbers or whatever, and pay taxes through that name. funny thing, at ibp / tyson, most of the illegals that work there have false ss numbers and papers, and pay taxes, yet every so often the feds come in and deport them.. why not put that effort into non tax paying illegals?

I always liked the idea of losing the income tax system and just raising the sales tax to 20-30%. Then it doesn't matter who you are or how you got here. Money isn't any good unless you spend it. With the sales tax system, the rich would finally pay their share instead of hiding out in tax shelters and loopholes. The illegals would also be paying their share...

The way I see it, weather your the employee or the employer it's still tax evasion, fine them and lock'em up.
I agree voodoo and put a tax on everything. Here in FL essential goods like milk, bread, and tp are not taxed.
