No, you gotta get the nuts and the vehicle on the blades, soon as part of the vehicle touches the time stops.  It is very, very addictive.....

time always stops when the nuts hit the blade - just part of life man.

Dump the nuts at the end....

Best I have got is 25%  13 nuts in 1.26

I got all 15 there in 1.31 and it gave me 23%  maybe it is averaging all my runs?  So I should take the knowlege and go to a different comp and get 15/15 every time.

Should I wait by the phone for a job offer?

How good has anyone else done?

85% in about 31 seconds - 15nuts - very bored today.  cargo managment seems to be key?

We need a screen print of the cart.......

Is my comp lagging or what?  31 seconds??  Wide open all the way and I get 1.3X

I got the cargo management.... but to much mass?

That is a bunch of crap...  Where are you finding the turbo option?  I can't get over the first hill in 27 seconds.  :-[

This does not bode well for your real life buggy - you understand that dont you?

I figured it out for you - are you using two wheels or one wheel and one circle?  See, the cirle are strucual - wheels - well, they are wheels.

17 secs 15/15 98%...that was foot to the floor. Suspension design is critical as is the method you use to make the swinging door to stop it all coming out again... Yoshi you sure you did it in 15%... mm:

How much freakin time did I just waste with that??

Yah Yah...........

yah, 2 wheels, 4 wheels...... all my wheels are turning...........  believe it or not.

How fast will the demo cart go? 1.3x with it wide open all the way.  Do I need to use something besides the right arrow key?

are you using springs?  does it drag on anything as it compresses?
Title: Re: Wasting time for buggy builders
Post by: Engineer on March 15, 2009, 10:48:35 PM
The only way the wheels will turn is if attached with springs.  It must be my comp clock speed or something.

When I hit the right arrow key, and hold it the whole time.  It takes 20 secs to get over the first hill.  Even with the sample cart there isn't much difference.

It seems to me that the clock runs at a constant rate.  The speed of the buggy depends on the internet connection and computer it  is running on.  My best so far is 33 and 100%,  but that was on my other computer.  on this computer I can barely get past the first hill in that time.

well must be internet speed cause my home puter (same machine as work, all bought as one package) cant get below 20 secs... time for some productive shit.... like sleep....

Yah Comp speed has something to do with it.  At work, first pass in demo cart was 22 seconds.  Thats a 400% improvement with the same cart.  ::)

Artie on screen print, I found some good info.  After downloading programs etc to do this I finally found a snipit that told me how it works.  Just press "print screen" key on your keyboard.  Nothing happens of course, but it has.  It has saved the screenprint onto your clipboard, just like as though you right clicked and copied something.  Now open a photo capable program (I like Microsoft Photo Editor).  In the photo editor window, right click and hit paste.  Shzzzaammmm  your screen print is now in the photo editor.  Now just crop and save as with a name, resize if necessary, and upload to DTSFAB.com.

I think Yummi knew this but is holding out on us.......

We need the smiley that is missing most of the teeth......  I would be able to use that a lot.
