Use a washer to prevent galling the wheel.

Mate,

EDGE sell a stepped washer that is flat on one side and countersunk on the other to fit tapered wheel nuts to Alum rims.  You do have to drill the holes out on the rim to fit them

Or if your studs are 10mm, they will be a tight fit and you can just throw a flat washer and nyloc on there.

I've used both methods and they both work, the tapered nuts are inclined to come loose though.

Cheers,
Kev

Yeah the rotation is very important to be sure there is no binding through full travel. I release the pressure in the shock to allow me to cycle it before I fully weld. Good job David!

Yeah I thought that's what you did, I mean letting the pressure out. I was thinking about it but I don't have anywhere I can get it refilled. Cool thanks Doug!! Ah the only other thing is I have an issue with the position of the rack now, the belows are touching on the frame either side, so I may have to reposition it later. ::)

Well I've managed to get some work done on the engine mounts here's some pics.. I had to re-do one mount cause it was too long and tilting the motor over making it hard to get the bolt out. ::)
