So I have a mini with a xl honda 650 motor in it.My questions are these-1 if i want to replace the motorcycle battery with a much bigger 12 volt to run a couple lights,a added on fan to cool motor and maybe have more starting power!Any thoughts on this? 2 can I run a fan to the motorcycle battery as well as having lights already on that battery,or will it draw too much?Thats why the thought of a car size battery! Thanks in advance guys!

The large battery will give you more reserve power BUT if you are overloading the charging system with extra lights/fans etc..the battery will still run down and need to be recharged with a charger. Run only 1 battery.Using 2 batteries is acceptable only if of same size and capacity.

So running 1 large battery will be ok?I dont mind having to charge it once in awhile.I just didnt want to add extra stuff to the motorcycle battery.Plus the MC battery is needing to be replaced soon,so thats why the 1 car battery for everything came to mind!

Technically you are OK.

I use a garden tractor type battery. Bigger than a bike battery, but smaller than a car battery. Cheaper than both. Get em at TSC.
