I always run max (as shown on the tire) on the trailer. I think it's better for the tires and I don't have to ride in it ! ;D
The Motorhome I'd run darn close to max on the rears. The front's I'd be tempted to lower for a better ride (you sit right over top of them). I'd run 10-20 less than max shown on the tire on the fronts. Start with 10 less. It will make a difference in the ride. I also bought Bilstien shocks. That made a difference too. Bilstiens aren't cheap.

Get tire pressure and temperature monitors. Lower till you see tire temp go up. The charts are BS when comparing brand to brand .

yep max psi here too......do you have air bags? also i will not run anything but kyb mono max or there gas adjust. your shocks may be weak

lance is right you do sit over the front end. are your leaf springs or coils if you have them weak as well? maybe your sitting on your bump stops or hitting them?

Thanks for the input guys. I love fabrs idea with the sensors, but I'm just too cheap rofl I will leave the trailer and rear axle at max, but dial back the front like Lance said, a little at a time.

Buy a IR temp gun and stop after 30 miles or so and check them. Tightass! ;D ;D Works just as well but in case of blowout or pretty quick pressure loss you won't get that effing beep,beep,beep warning that scares the hell out of you............ ;) After having a trailer tire lose all pressure coming back from Fla. and not being to tell in how it pulled with the toterhome other than I barely heard it do a low pressure blowout. I bought the system.

Actually the laser thermometer is a good idea. We use that at autocross events to figure out at what pressure you get the largest contact patch. Never thought about it for a motorhome tire...............

I'll trade my drive for 4hr of bumpy ass drive to LS!!
E rated trailer tires I run at 70 (80 max)
Truck max rear when towing with airbags, fronts about 15 under for better comfort. But nothing helps a couple of them damn bridge approaches in N Miss. Truck and trailer left the ground at 75!! Pucker factor.

Comes in handy checking hub temps as well as brakes . Good diagnostic tool.

Great idea, and I just got one for Christmas! Check tires, hubs, tranny pan, beer, etc.
