Do we have any professional heat treaters on the board?

Just want to see if we have any heat treaters with experience in 300M and Vasco 350  steels. Not looking for opinions,just real world experience  and capability. The items are shafts approx 9.5" long X .930 OD. Small lot of 6-8.

FOund one . I can't believe these people even talk to me. GEEZ,they're a pretty fancy outfit.LOL!!!! Long story but I ran across a heat treat website a couple years ago. I asked for help with my voodoo heat treating I was doing in house. The guys there thought I was crazy and they were right ,of course. LOL!!!! I can easily case   harden parts amply well for my needs but when using material that's approx 160 bux a foot for a super shaft of under 1" diameter plus machining it's just good sense to have the very best do it . So I posed the same question there. BAM!!! Pat e mails me back and offers to do it. Runs 300M and vasco350 regularly. Well,I'd never checked into his company . WOW!!!!! Check it out!

I have an electric oven that goes to 1700*. Useful for normalizing materials. Other than that I send it out. It's as much an art as it is science. I have a good company out here that I found about 15 years ago while having problems with the heat treater I was using at the time. Nice thing they have an oven large enough to put a TT chassis in........

I have one also. It's great for normalizing,annealing,case hardening but for something like these shafts.........................the REAL pros get the nod.
