See for yourselves the stretched out snap rings Donsbusbox uses over. Good ones are on top of stretched ones showing how bad they were. About 5 bux worth of parts that could wipe out hundreds if they fail .  Couple pics showing POS bolts used on ring gear next to correct ones also. Trouble is that for every one of Donsbusbox  that is disassembled by someone and is found to be a POS workmanship tranny there's a hundred or more out there that people pay top dollar for and get this shit.  I now also know why the nose cone bolts were stripped out . Don had modified the shift  selector bracket and it interfered with proper bolt alignment of the nosecone. Instead of correcting it he just ran the bolts in at an angle. thumb down thumb down thumb down thumb down thumb down to Donsbusbox-AGAIN!!!!!!

On a lighter note here it is all reassembled and a pic showing the scale weight of the complete unit. 100 pounds. Only 20  7 pounds more than a Jeffco.

I just looked @ jeffco's site. A jeffco weighs 93 pounds ,not 80 as I thought. So my unit is only 7 pounds heavier.

  The tranny is going together nicely . They're not hard at all to work on IF a person is willing to buy the special tools/manuals/jigs necessary to do the work. Without them you're just pissing in the wind . I take it you didn't make LS for Turkey Day either.  Gonna plan a day trip before the Big West trip?  Or just see what happens, what is it 20 hrs drive.
