Title: Tired of Wrestling Your Busa?
Post by: fabr on August 01, 2011, 08:06:35 PM: I damn sure was. Used a regular engine stand,modified the arms,used a bit of tube and VIOLA! A stand that is perfect for complete teardown or to just sit the damn thing on the floor or bench without it rolling all over the place.

I'm afraid shipping would kill the deal. LMAO

Im working on an idea, similar, to lift engine up and out of buggy. Then slide into a stand. Tired of lifting motor up and in by hand.

Post by: fabr on August 04, 2011, 06:45:09 PM: OK,cleaned the topic up a bit. rofl rofl rofl Back to business! ;D Here's a pic of the simple scissor type grabber I have used for many many years picking up all kinds of stuff from complete mountain motor short blocks to my most recent use for it as an 091 lifter. Already had the trans back in before thinking to snap a pic of it. Makes handling the 091 a piece of cake.

Post by: fabr on August 04, 2011, 06:49:50 PM: Now pics of the ENGINE sling. The small and cheap(16 bux)chain ratchet binder makes alignment a snap. Been rasslin' these busas for way too long. About 4 feet of chain,a binder and a caribiner type chain repair link is all thats needed.
