Cutting spacers (cuda plans)
« on: August 11, 2009, 10:19:26 PM »
Cutting spacers might be simple for some people or not.  I don't have a lot of cool toys as some may have.  (lathe, milling machine, plasma cutter.)  So when I was trying to make spacers and getting them precise. I found a very easy way to do them.  I took some copper plumbing pipe that was laying around and took a pipe cutter. I was able to cut my spacers exaclty as needed.

I been there too, somedays I still am.  If the spacers are less than 3/4" od, sometimes I stick them in the drill press and smooth or square the end with a file.
