4" more droop travel within the same flange to flange distance.

Second picture is bearing carriers that will be used.

You realize that mixing a CV and a u-joint on an axle will create really bad harmonics right?

Haven't been on here in a while. Those axles are sitting on a shelf. I do know that without the outer U-joint, it won't counter the pulses induced by the inner. There are production vehicles like that. The biggest problem is there is insufficient clearance to get a CV joint connected at the gear box side. Some sort of compromise needs to be made.
