From burning fuel . Of course there is heat. But heat is not necessary to spool a turbo. Just volume. Creating additional volumes of exhaust gasses is the goal and not necessarioy too much heat. In other words ,2 engines that have equal VE but one  has lower EGT's will produce the same power but be capable of supporting additional boost before detonating itself. See what I'm getting at?

It's not a more heat is better all the way to infinity type of thing, but the heat from combustion is what causes the gases to expand producing that volume needed to accelerate the turbine.  See what I'm getting at?

I spent all day Tuesday testing and tuning. 100* here, 108* heat index. F'ing hot!!!! I checked and tightened ALL fittings. Got ahold of Mark at Queen Racing and picked his brain. Set the wastegate rod to 12mm and I am getting 13lbs of boost now. The wastegate rod was too long only giving me 8mm of stroke so I had to cut the wastegate actuator off by 6mm. 6lbs at 5700 rpms. I had to add weight to the clutches due to hitting the rev limiter. I dialed it back to 12lbs of boost and set the clutches to that. From a stand still my stall is at 4000rpms and boost shoots to 12 lbs instantly. I am soooo close to having it right. I will need to get it out with the paddles to tune it for the sand. I learned a whole lot in one day. Thanks to Mark for all the help pinpointing what was wrong. I need to move my manual boost controler to the engine compartment so it will work correctly. Line is too long and too small of an ID. Just thought I would post the progress.

If you smile, the whole world smiles with you.  Try that first.

If that does not work, be a bit more descriptive in the issue and maybe I can figure it out.  ;)
