front and rear brakes

how would i go about hooking my two front brakes and my rear brake together? dual masters with one pedal? one master? i have no clue.. ugh... and i dont have several hundred dollars to blow.

I used a pedal assembly from a VW dune buggy, it has 4 lines out. 1 ea for the front, 1 for the rear, and I'm gonna use 1 for a brake light switch.  Buddy of mine used a proportion valve from Summit to adjust the flow to rear.  If you use smaller master your probably gonna have to use two.  Will also depend on the size of the brake calipers.

FOr your buggy I'm of the opinin that rear only will be fine.IF you run fronts also you can do it from a single MC with only one outlet(cheap).Just put a t(or t's) in the line to run to front and rear.WHen you get the brakes we can help you determine correct MC bore size.

i have all the brakes..  the front two are the 1988 honda 250x calipers... the rear is a dual piston late 80's honda streetbike front caliper.

I have a 3/4 master with a proportioning knob and it works great. I could have used a 5/8 master to get more power because I am using small calipers, but the 3/4 works good, just won't lock them up on pavement without motivation. My pedal only moves about an inch.

Just go to Parts plus or checker and ask the guy behind the counter hat is the cheapest master cylender he's got for a car...If not under 30 bux I got one (brand new still in the plastic ) ill ship for the 30...240 z unit

fabr, i have no idea the bore sizes. then front calipers are single pistons. rear is dual.. thats as far as my knowledge of them go..  :-\   well do i want a single res master or a dual res master?

I would recommend using two masters. one for front and one for rear. join them together on a single pedal with a balance bar arrangement. For the dual fronts, I expect it's cheaper to, rather than using T's like fab suggests, you can get longer banjo bolts and come off the master outlet by stacking the fittings.

Or run braided lines all the way back to the master - on a buggy that's not far. More expensive (~$50 pair) than the hard lines but easier to do/install and less to go wrong.

Then take your calipers or at least eyeball the piston size of the bores so you don't make yet another mistake so you can determine the correct MC bore size. The bore size and the piston travel determine the needed MC bore size. Just guessing at shit  is what causes problems. A cheapo single bore MC is more than fine for your application.
