there is another option.....park in the primative camp site across the street and park your trailer in one of out stalls or park the the trailer and truck in the primitive site and leave your buggy parked in one of ours sites. not matter what there is a way lol

Need to pull CV's apart and inspect, waste gate actuator to install, wifey's car needs an input shaft seal replaced on her trans, breather cans need to be powder coated and installed on my car and my old ugly ones go on her car, new primary clutch bought for wifey's car. She broke ANOTHER weight. She sure is hard on her Revolt.
Gonna be busy!

5 weeks? Shit I recovering from my practice sand fix at beach. Guess I should fix the bent front end soon, clean out trailer, instal new batteries, and lights in the trailer. Oh and wheres my ski mask.............

I have a thicker radiator waiting to install and a higher CFM fan to buy yet. Other than that it's ready to go. It's been over 100 here also so I just come home flip on the A/C and hide in the house. Every year I look at A/C units for the garage and every year I'm too cheap to buy one. I'm going stir crazy from doing nothing in the afternoons but drinking beer and reading books GRRRRRRRRRR

Only 3 of us could make it by the 13th, so we are showing up to ride on the 16th -24th.
In actuality we will be in Waynoka on the 12th and dropping the trailer and rides at my landlords home(shop) to be stored for a few days while me and Jen head to Colorado Springs for 3 days and head back to Waynoka on the 16th. Going to be a great vacation for sure.

Got to add a couple braces to front end, noticed I bent the tube upper shocks mount too. Got some new LED's for the trailer to instal along with dual batteries so the invertor will be happier.
Finally tackled a coupe problems with my truck; broke ignition switch, and a no start once warm. Had to drill out ignition! And the IPR valve with broke Oring, letting all my high pressure oil bypass and not fire injectors. Such is life, now on to next on my list.....

ya as chance would have it i have been having a long crank issue with my truck but always starts....rebuilt the ipr and i am amazed at the performance increase. very noticable however did not fix my long crank issue. i will find that soon enough. i need to clean the rail and prob change the oil but either than that it can go down to ls

Yes Fabr we are at the house like always.
Have to put wheel bearings in my brothers rear hubs and he is done. Clutch is on the wifes car. Almost done, wastegate actuator on my then polish them all up!

Reading this thread cracks me up. Its crazy how much stuff we do to go out to the desert for a few days. I have a huge list to make it for a Halloween trip. I thought it was not that bad and started rattling the list off to a buddy. He looked at me like I had to design a space shuttle before we go...
I ONLY need to:
-Finish mounting the motor and trans
-Mount the fuel tank
-Mount the radiator
-Build new coolant lines
-Rebuild the exhaust
-Build new trailing arms
-New rear shock mounts to dual shock the car
-Mount and plumb the new fuel system
-Mount the intercooler w/ fan
-Mount the rear seats and harnesses (making it a 4 seater now)
-Bolt up the new front seats
-Modify shift linkage
-Relocate Battery
-Rewire the whole car
-Aaaaaannd put air in the tires
I have plenty of time!

2 things that might trip me up. Final pieces to plumb the EFI will not be here till Tuesday and I need to get the springs ordered. It'll be tight but ???????? If I can get some road time on it ,maybe a hundred miles or so,to give it time to tune itself a bit first I'll bring it. Alky will be here this week. Body is still rough and won't look really good till I get the final sanding done. BUT,if I can get it down there I won't have to make a return trip a couple weeks later.

I have an 8 quart Dutch oven that the Jambalaya and the Chili Verde will be cooked in. It's the biggest one they make and I'll fill it to the top but were probably pushing it's limits so the sides would help. The Carne Asada just means a lot of chopping of toppings. No big deal. Is anybody by any chance bringing a full size gas barbecue? It would help immensely with cooking all the Carne Asada meat.

Fabr - Our Schedule is to arrive sometime mid-Monday depending on how hard we drive. We have the campsite thru Thursday and then will have to move for Friday night. Which makes Friday iffy for us i.e. Buggy still running, weather, etc... We can try and work towards Taco Friday but ya never know....

I have a built-in for the backyard that I made stainless grates for out of 1/4" dia rod and have replaced the burners several times. Not anymore. Next time I just scrap it and buy a new one.

Side note thought I had an injector out failed buzz test and cylinder contribution. Swapped inj plug to #3 and it fails. So inj good maybe wire. Replace everything wire wise except main harness. Harness ohms perfect from comp to inj.

5# of 6 year cheddar
2.5# of 11 Year cheddar
1# of Cheddar Blue Cheese (some type of hybrid)
2# of different Havarti cheeses for Lances GF
2# of smoked cheddar for Lances GF
4# of plain cheese curds
2# of Brians peppered cheese curds... I different pepper this time. Apparently they do different flavors each week.

I certainly wish Donny a quick and painless recovery! I do know the situation all to well unfortunately and hope it goes better for him as it did for me. I hear that collar bones recover better than shoulders. Send him my best enemy! He is young and in good shape so I hope he can bounce right back. Trips are becoming as if they would not be the same if he were not there. I have pics and video if Donny wants any for his personal records... I will not post that here without his direct consent.

his full time nurse said he's in pain but doing good. i hope he has a full recovery too that is not a good end to a trip for sure. just a freak accident that grabbed his front wheels and basically ejected him and i am pretty sure the quad landed on him.

When he was there being tended to by the 3 nurses, if he moved right ya could see it push on skin!! If they could line it up and he could keep it still it prob be straight, but yeah that offset looks like it heal weak??
Besides chicks dig scars, and he could throw a little tattoo work on it and that be bad ass!! ;D

i wish him a speedy recovery. big dave basically he decided to go around a dune instead of over because the sand was soft and dry..... and the sand at the bottom was deeper and softer than it looked and it grabbed his wheels and threw him or at least that what i think happened. just a freak thing and his quad has eps so it must have been deep cause that boy can ride! he braved the dunes chasing us at st anothonys on a brute force quad! those dunes had a big enough pucker factor in a rail i don't think i could've ran them on a quad so he's one up on me ;) lol

I think the Mega Mayhem's hit major fluff at the base of dune on the shallow side, at the rate of speed of the encounter, the 32.8lbs tire http://www.itptires.com/tires/utility-atv/mega-mayhem (http://www.itptires.com/tires/utility-atv/mega-mayhem) and it's tread design did what it is designed to do by digging deep before propelling the brute in a forward direction. This may have caused the Meyhem's to change course to counter the 700lbs of Brute and his 34.4lbs twin brothers coming to pick on them. This "course correction" may have been what triggered the ejection seat.
This is all a guess obviously, (I was directly in front), but an educated one for these are my old tires and they about did the same to me once. And the reason for my change to the paddles and front runners on my Brute that we ran the ST. A trip.
Possible the rear rack may have came around and tagged him?
