Curiosity killed that damn cat!Why the casting for a one off? 1. I have a foundry. That's cool. My former inlaws also owned one ,made a bundle when they sold it too! 2. I enjoy casting/creating.Same here ,that's why I'm doing castings.3. Its cheaper than a billet lump and heaps of milling time (my mill doesnt even know what a computer is).I understand that also.My first one was done on a DRO manual bridgeport. It takes a lot of patience for a person without any to do it!4. My creative juices are flowing. We just can't help ourselves can we?
my "casette" portion is only 4.5" from cv flange to cv flange for a total of 7.5" from cv face to cv face. Pretty narrow using a 3" chain, huh.
still confused...the 7.5" is that the face that the cv bolts onto? or is that what you are referring to with the 4.5" measurement? The reason I ask is I am down to 6.25" from cv mount face to cv mount face... and that took some work!
